Today’s Bible Story: Jesus’ miracles are amazing. Catching Fish • Luke 5:1-10
Memory Verse: “Everyone who heard him was amazed.” Luke 2:47, NIV
Key Question: Who is amazing?
Bottom Line: Jesus is amazing.
Basic Truth: Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Application Activity: Catching Fish
Set a boundary for the water and the land
Have children swim around that area
The fisherman will say, “if you are wearing the color ____ (blue), I caught you.”
All fish wearing blue will step out of the water.
Continue with other statements until all the “fish” are caught.
Ex: if you have on boots, if you brought a backpack, if you ate breakfast, if you have blonde hair, etc.
Today’s Bible Story: Golden Slumbers (Parable of the Bags of Gold) • Matthew 25:14-30 (NIV)
Today’s Key Question: How can you use what you’ve been given?
Today’s Bottom Line: Make the most of what you’ve been given.
Monthly Memory Verse: Suppose you can be trusted with something very little. Then you can also be trusted with something very large. Luke 16:10a (NIrV)
Monthly Life App: Responsibility—Showing you can be trusted with what is expected of you
Basic Truth: I need to make the wise choice.
Application Activity: Pass the Buck
You will need a $1 or $5 bill and a song to play from your smart device or cd player
Sit in a circle (or across form each other)
Play some music and pass the $1 around the circle
When the music pauses, have the person holding the $1 name one thing he or she can do with it to show responsibility and wisdom
