Room for What's Next

A look at the beginning stages of our facility expansion.

For some time now, our church family has been growing; in attendance, in ministries, and in the number of people God is bringing through our doors. We believe He is calling us to prepare space for what’s ahead. This is the very beginning of a multi-year journey to plan, design, fund, and build expanded facilities, and we want you to be part of it from the start.

Why are we doing this?

Our current space is increasingly full, and we want to remove barriers that keep us from welcoming more people and growing the ministries that serve our community. This expansion is about creating room for worship, discipleship, families, and for guests who haven’t yet walked through our doors. Above all, it’s about positioning our church to serve faithfully for decades to come.

What’s happening right now?

We’re in the formation stage. Before any designs are drawn or budgets are set, we’re assembling the people who will guide this work. The church will nominate and approve members to serve on three teams: Design, Stewardship, and Engagement & Prayer. These teams, along with our staff, will form the leadership structure that carries the project from vision to groundbreaking.

The three teams:

  • Design Team. Plans the facility itself, working with architects and builders to ensure the space supports ministry and future growth.
  • Stewardship Team. Guides financial planning, cost management, and the capital campaign that will fund the project.
  • Engagement & Prayer Team. Keeps the congregation informed, gathers your input, and leads the church in prayer throughout.
How can I participate right now?
  1. Pray. This is first and most important. Ask God to guide our church and raise up the right leaders.
  2. Nominate. Watch for the nomination ballot and prayerfully recommend members you believe would serve well on each team.
  3. Stay engaged. Updates, FAQs, and opportunities to give input will be shared as we go. This is a church-wide effort, not a committee-only one.
What’s the timeline?
  • Summer 2026. The church nominates and votes to approve the building teams
  • Late 2026. Teams begin meeting; architect selection and ministry planning begin
  • 2027. Designs finalized, builder selected, capital campaign launches
  • Early 2028 — Anticipated groundbreaking

(Timeline is a projection and may shift as the project develops.)

Frequently asked questions:

Has anything been decided yet?
No. We’re at the very beginning. No designs, budgets, or building plans exist yet. The first step is approving the teams who will prayerfully develop those things with congregational input.

Will the church get to vote?
Yes. Members will vote to approve the building teams, and the congregation will be kept informed and involved throughout the process.

How will I stay updated?
The Engagement & Prayer Team will provide regular updates, host informational meetings, and answer questions as the project moves forward.
