Today’s Bible Story: Jesus’ healing is amazing (The Four Friends) • Mark 2:1-12
Memory Verse: “Everyone who heard him was amazed.” Luke 2:47, NIV
Key Question: Who is amazing?
Bottom Line: Jesus is amazing.
Basic Truth: Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Application Activity: Where did the “boo boo” go?
Find some red dot stickers (or use red paper and clear tape)
Place the red dots on your child’s arm and over their chest
Ask, What did Jesus do to the paralyzed man?
Answer, He healed him and he forgave him of his sins
Say, Jesus can heal our bodies but most importantly, he heals our lives from sin (and then remove the stickers)
Today’s Bible Story: Give It Away (Bigger Barns) • Luke 12:13-21
Today’s Key Question: What do you have that you can share?
Today’s Bottom Line: Share what you have.
Monthly Memory Verse: Suppose you can be trusted with something very little. Then you can also be trusted with something very large. Luke 16:10a (NIrV)
Monthly Life App: Responsibility—Showing you can be trusted with what is expected of you
Basic Truth: I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Application Activity: Give it away!
Gather some “pricey items” ($20 bill, toys, etc)
Sit in a circle
Take each item and one at a time say, “Give it away” and pass it to the next person.
Remind everyone that stuff is not “bad” but when we become selfish with our stuff, then we can make “bad” (sinful) choices.
