We want you to be a part of the work of God through missions. There are many ways that you can be involved during Missions Month.
• For hurting families to find provision & hope in Christ
• For God’s strength & courage in the persecuted church
• For peace in Israel & Ukraine
• And the proclamation of the gospel in all these places
• Grab empty boxes & instructions in the Great Hall
• Help at the packing party on Saturday, Nov 4
• Filled shoeboxes are due by Nov 19
• Participate in the 1st Street Fire Fundraiser on Oct 28
• Paint cabinets & doorways during Mission Center work week Nov 13-18
• Hand out free burgers & share Christ on Nov 18
• Join a Ministry at the Missions Fair on Nov 19
• Canned Foods: vegetables, fruit, tuna and chicken
• 1lb Bags of spaghetti, pinto beans and rice
• Boxed Mac&Cheese and Cereals
We seek to do God’s Work with His Compassion by fostering His Connections to people in order to offer His Message and His Provision all in His Strength.
Follow Missions is about God’s activity to save the world he loves. It must be a God-centered work where all activity overtly highlights the good news of God’s kingdom in that moment, rather than celebrating our own efforts.
John 5:19 – “Truly I tell you, the son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing”
Follow Missions sees people whom others neglect and turn away. We want everyone to know that God sees them, loves them, and has a purpose for their life.
Genesis 16:6-13 – Hagar says to the Lord, “You are the God who sees me”
Follow Missions inspires people to find the passion that God has put inside of them to connect with others for the gospel.
Romans 12:6-13 – We have different gifts… so share with those in need
Follow Missions communicates the good news of God found only through Jesus in ways that people can understand according to their life experiences and culture.
1 Corinthians 9:22 – Become all things to all people in order to save some
Follow Missions transforms the whole person by caring not only for his/her soul but also meeting someone’s needs for physical, emotional, and mental health, as well as relationships, work, and how he/she fits into a healthy society.
Isaiah 58:6-10 – Set the oppressed free & satisfy their needs
Follow Missions understands that apprehension and fear are common for those who are called to serve, but the hope of the risen Christ, and his continued presence and power are with us as we go.
Matthew 28 – fear, hope, mission, and reassurance
